Unit 4 p5



Unit 4, P5 –
Introduction – Task 3a
 - I will evaluate my Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threat

Strengths Tangible/Intangible (Internal)
-         Good Communication Skills I know this because I find it easy to communicate with my peers and teachers
-         Good ICT and Computer skills with these skills will help me with basic administration       
-         I am Hard Working and Well Organized
-         I have good attendance and very punctual
-         I have good English and Numeracy skills
-         I’m also kind

Weaknesses Tangible/Intangible (Internal)
-         I am a shy person
-         Mathematics is not a strong point
-         I also do not have enough self confidence

Opportunities (Industrial/Macro)
-         To be able to continue studying and get qualifications, to gain more knowledge and experience
-         Get a job so I can earn a living and prepare myself for the future
-         To be able to get promoted to a higher Point in the business and maybe become a manger in the future
Treats
-         When I am under pressure my work does not have a great quality rather than when I am noy under pressure.
-         In the world there could be someone who is better than me that is able to do things faster and at a higher standard than I am able to.
-         I also lack confidence and communication skills which could affect me in the future if I do not ask question when I need help, also this can prevent me for receiving many great opportunities in life.
Introduction – Task 3b and 3c
In task 3b I will be looking for two jobs that match my skill and abilities, I will include a personal specification and a job description for reference and use of evidence that I have met the required criteria by refereeing to my personal SWOT analysis
In task 3c I will make a realistic development plan which contains my future career goals, training, qualifications and other relevant information I will need to achieve this goal.

Skill and Qualifications Met:- I have great knowledge of Microsoft word and Excel, Good organizational skills, and good time management,  I also have a positive attitude, I am also have the ability to multitask  within a busy environment.
I am also energetic, friendly and a proactive worker.

Qualifications & Skills met: I have experience in administration as in secondary school we did it as a side subject and I am able to know how to set up documents and write letters formally also in college I am studying Business Enterprise and ICT, which I am learning more about the financial side of business and how to start up and run my own etc.
I have passed my functional skill level 2, and also I have great literacy skills including punctuation and grammar, I am able to meet and greet customers and answer telephones in a polite manner.
I am able to use some of the skills I have gained to have good speaking and listening skills to improve my communication skills to build up my confidence. Also I have good time management skill and I am able to meet project deadlines.

Strengths Tangible/Intangible(Internal)         

Products to start up the business are easy to find are quite cheap when you buy them in bulks, also at specific times of the year more flowers become cheaper and on a higher demand rather than the more expensive flowers.

I have a great interest within the business and I am quiet fascinated by the way in which most people use flowers and make such exquisite bouquets.

This product can be made in many shapes and sizes with also very nice smells that combine to make one.

Weaknesses Tangible/Intangible(External)

§  My main weakness if the fact I have no previous experience from running any sort of business, also it is time consuming to make bouquets and baskets for many particular occasions.



Opportunities (Industrial/ Macro)

§  The location of my shop is quiet local and I have a great opportunity for potential customers.

§  If my business becomes successful during the next few years, I will be able to expand it and open other branches in and outside of London to make more of a profit not only for myself but also fellow colleagues that I work with.

Threats (Industrial/Macro)

§  There are also other well-known florists, that have a great reputations but are also known for the same ideas. For example:-

Unit 4 M2- Job Description


Introduction: I will be creating a job description and person specification to look for a team member for my business.


Job Description: I am looking for an experienced florist, who is able to make a various range and varieties of flowers, decorative plants, understand the texture and smell of flowers among other things.


You are also required to know how to do the following basic tasks:

-  Condition and trim the flowers and foliage for keeping them fresh.

-  Help customers in selecting suitable flowers and plants for various occasions.

-  Take a daily stock of the stored floral materials and place order of flowers and other essential supplies.

-  Pricing different floral arrangements depending on various factors.

Handling incoming calls or fax orders and arrange for their delivery.

- Arrange door step delivery of flowers to regular customers in offices, banks, hospitals and homes.
Arrange flowers as per the theme at the venue of the party or any other occasion.

-  Taking appointment with clients (for bulk orders) to discuss the occasion and its theme so that appropriate flowers can be selected to create decorative pieces.

Give ideas, tips and advices to customers for taking care of the plants or floral arrangements.

-  Managing the store and staff with different work schedule so that you have adequate staff during operational hours.

The Basic Skills I Would Like Applicants To Have:

I will be describing who they are, explaining what they do also how they will help me in starting in my business.

 A family member that owns their business, can help you fund a great company that gives out reasonable loans, also they could lend me money to start your business, and pay them back slowly.

Task 2 - Application of Research



Website Design Ideas:

In this section of assignment I am going to ensure that I am not breaking the Copyright Law in business by checking and researching about my other competitors. I will be explaining how my business (Zee's Blooms)will look regarding the fonts, colour schemes, where the logo and pictures will be arranged, etc. also having all the supplies and pricing on my website written in a list with pictures beside it with the main flowers we sell.
Each Tab is hyper linked to create a website.

 Home Page - plain but simple to ensure its not to complicated for the customer to navigate around.

 Services - Main Occasions we provide flowers for
 Prices - the main flowers we supply with the prices

Formal Documents:-



In this task, I will be describing the difference between a formal and informal document.
Also I am choosing four types of l documents to show the layout and how they used in a business, these document are:- E-mails, Invoice, Agenda and Minutes of a Meeting.




A Formal Document:- Is written using full in English with no slang and also with good punctuation, grammar use of paragraphs with your ideas clearly laid out.



An Informal Document:- is written using slang, no clear paragraphs also many of the ideas are jumbled up but they are still been able to understand.



E-mails:- This is a form of communication used with in and out of a work place to let customers and employees aware of new changes within the organization.





Invoices:- This is a commercial document that you receive from a sell that will be given to a buyer stating the products, quantities and the agreed prices for the product of services that the seller has provided.




Agenda:- This is a list of items that have been suggested to be disscussed in a meeting.
 

Minutes of  a Meeting:-  This is all the summersizd points that was mentioned in a meeting.
